The Foundation's Alerts List Server

The Foundation maintains a List Server that sends out automated alerts messages with important information concerning activities taking place at the Foundation. To submit a request to be included in our Alerts List, please complete and submit one of the web forms shown below.

New Alerts List up and running - here are some features of our new Mailman© List Server:

  • Many of the list features can be accessed via the web. Click on this link to view the General Information web page for the list (use your BACK button to return to this page).

  • This is an Alerts List. As such, most subscribers will not be able to post messages directly to the list. Our new List Server program will allow certain list members to upgrade their subscription to OK to post to list status. These upgrades will be made on a case by case basis. Click on the CONTACT button above to send a request to the Foundation for a subscription upgrade (please state your reason for requesting the upgrade).

  • List members will be able to view the subscription list. List members will receive a password as a part of the subscription process (and monthly password reminders). List members will have to use their password in order to gain access to the subscription list.

  • Mailman© has a number of sophisticated bounce detectors. Bounce detection means that if your email server is a bit “quirky” (e.g., is prone to down time) then your Alerts Message will still get through. Bounce detection also means that an email address that is no longer working will be automatically removed from the list.

  • Mailman© has an archive feature. Current list subscribers will be able to access the list archives using their password. You can gain access to the list archive via the General Information web page.

Join our Alerts List (using the Alerts List web form):

  • You can send a request to join our Alerts List by clicking on this link to the General Information web page. Once the List Server receives your request, you will receive a confirmation email from the List Master. All requests must be approved by the List Master.

Join our Alerts List (using our web form):

  • Complete the form below and then click on the "Submit" button. Clicking the "Reset" button will clear the form so that you can start over. After clicking the "Submit" button, you should be presented with a confirmation page. You may want to print this confirmation page so that you will have a copy of your request for your records. Only valid email addresses can be added to our Alerts List (please check the spelling). Once the List Server receives your request, you will receive a confirmation email from the List Master. All requests must be approved by the List Master.

Alerts Schedule:

An Alerts message is usually sent out around the 15th of each month. Occasionally more than one Alerts message may be sent during the month. A monthly message is sent out with a password reminder.

List Instructions:

When you receive your confirmation from the List Master, you will also receive basic instructions on how to use the Alerts List. Please note that because this is an Alerts List, you will not be able to post messages to other list users unless you receive prior approval from the Foundation.

List FAQs:

Q - Why should we join the Alerts List?

A - On occasion, the Foundation board will approve scholarships or other in-kind grants that must be applied for within a limited timeframe (usually two or three weeks). The Foundation uses the Alerts List to announce these grants. Subscribing to the Alerts List will allow your organization to receive announcements concerning these time-sensitive grants.

Q - Is my Alerts List password the same as my password for Share 360?

A - No, the two passwords are not related. You can (if you wish) change your Alerts List password to match your Share 360 password using the web-based Alerts List user interface.
